RUTIS ORGANIZES NATIONAL MEETING FOR SENIORS,
S&G TALKS ABOUT DIAL ON NATIONAL RADIO
On June 7, RUTIS – Rede de Universidades Seniores organized a National meeting of Third Age Universities in Nazaré, Portugal.
During the event, more than 2200 seniors came together to share experiences and information about new, senior-related projects and just to enjoy themselves in an informal and festive atmosphere.
DIAL project was one of the event’s topics, as one of DIAL team’s partner and the main event organizer #RUTIS talked about DIAL, its goals and activities. The event was covered by two national TVs (BTV and CMTV).
On 13 of June System and Generation Association – S&G got invited by NTV radio to talk about our KA-2, Erasmus plus programme financed project “Digital Acquisition Through Intergenerational Learning” – DIAL. S&G President Gürkan Akçaer explained about the partnership between Turkey, Latvia, Portugal and Cyprus and the aims and objectives of the project. The most asked question from the radio host was about the future mobilities of the project.
Mr. Akçaer explained about the Short-term joint staff training in Turkey in March 2019 and for the Blended mobility of Adult Learners in Portugal. S&G will be responsible to host the mobility in Turkey and it is looking for participants for the mobilities in Ankara and Portugal. The main participants will be adults and seniors, aged 55+ y.o., and for the mobility in Ankara we will be looking for seniors and youth workers as well. “DIAL” is an Erasmus+ strategic partnership project in the Adult Sector targeting mainly elderly people. The main aim of the project is to provide inter-generational and Life Long Learning opportunities to grandparents to acquire essential digital competences that will enable active aging and access to the e-word.
